Employment Information
Attendance - If you are unable to be on time or to work a scheduled shift, it is your responsibility to contact The Education Team, Inc office (# 727-578-0999) as well as the center where you are scheduled to work. It is very important to maintain communication with all parties involved. If you do not show up to your assignment and do not contact anyone, your file will be terminated.

Attire / Appearance - Please be aware that you will be working with children and therefore need to dress appropriately. Your attire should be clean, appropriate, and business casual (i.e. khaki pants & a plain, solid color collared shirt or t-shirt). You should also wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, since it is likely you will be on your feet alot during your shift. You are a representative of The Education Team, Inc and we request that your appearance and behavior reflect a positive image of our organization.

Time Sheets - Most centers already have timesheets available for you to record your hours. If not, we can fax one to the center. Make sure you fill out your time sheet daily, as it is very easy to forget throughout our busy week. Timesheets are to be signed on Fridays and given to the Director. It is the responsibility of the center Director to sign it and fax it to our office.

Pay Periods - Pay periods are set on a bi-weekly schedule, payable on Fridays. The first paycheck you receive will be for the two weeks prior. If you are on extended placement, the check will be sent to the center where you are working. If you are a substitute, the check will be mailed to your home. For this reason, it is very important that we always have your current address on file. It is your responsibility to make sure we have your current information. If other arrangements need to be made regarding your paycheck, please contact the office as soon as possible to make them.

Direct Deposit - It may take up to one month to initiate direct deposit. After applying for direct deposit, the first paycheck you receive is a test run for the banking system and will be in paper form. The following paycheck should be directly deposited.

Insurance and Benefits - If you are a full time employee, working 37 hours a week or more, you may be eligible for health insurance after 90 days of employment.

Paid Time Off - Employees are eligible to receive Paid Time Off (PTO) after completing 12 consecutive months of employment with The Education Team, Inc. The amount of PTO is determined by the amount of hours worked by the employee. For every 520 hours worked, the employee earns 8 hours of PTO. Please refer to our Employee Handbook, available on our website (www.theeducationteam.com), for further details regarding PTO.

Fingerprint Processing - Applicants must have a completed Level Two background screening to apply for a position. Live Scan services are available in many locations. The Education Team is currently working with Identa-Check . You may call them directly to schedule your prints.
